Plasma Fibroblast

Skin Tightening without the cutting!

Plasma Skin Tightening is a revolutionary, non-invasive alternative treatment to traditional surgery.

What is Plasma Fibroblast?

Plasma Skin Tightening is a revolutionary, non-invasive alternative treatment to traditional surgery.

This treatment helps eliminate excessive tissue that causes sagging skin, unwanted wrinkles, stretch marks and even diminish scarring. It also diminishes the risk, pain and down-time associated with traditional invasive surgery.

How does plasma fibroblast therapy work?

The precise instrument known as a plasma pen works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its tip and the skin, to form a plasma charge. An electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The tissue retraction and tightening is comparable to surgery but with no cutting, very low risk and much more affordable. Over the next several months the skin tightening continues as the body repairs itself and produces an abundance of fibroblast cells which build collagen type 1 and elastin which repairs loose skin and rejuvenates your face!

What Can Be Treated?

We can get rid of wrinkles on the skin, imperfections on the surface as well as any abnormal growths.                                      Most popular treatments:

  1. Upper/lower eyelids
  2. Brow lift
  3. Nose contouring
  4. Lip augmentation
  5. Acne scar reduction
  6. Skin Tag removal

Advantages Over Surgery:

  1. No injectable anesthetic required
  2. No cutting of the skin
  3. No stitches required
  4. Low-risk procedure (minimal risk)
  5. Minimal side effects
  6. Far less downtime
  7. No thinning of the skin
  8. Significant COST saving

Will It Hurt?

The Fibroblast Skin-Tightening treatment is NOT PAINFUL! We prepare the skin and apply numbing cream to all areas that will be treated. There can be some discomfort afterwards but it is 100% manageable.

What Is The Downtime?

The downtime for this treatment is significantly less than any surgical & invasive treatment. The dots left on the skin can last between 7-14 days.

How Many Sessions?

MOST CLIENTS ARE SATISFIED AFTER JUST ONE SESSION!
Depending on the severity of the sagging, deep lines, scars more than one session might be necessary.

Pre Treatment Instructions:

  1. Skin should not be inflamed in the area we are treating prior to procedure. If you have a sunburn/suntan, the treatment should be postponed for up to 8 weeks or until tan/burn signs disappear.
  2. Refrain from using topical agents that may increase sensitivity of the skin 2 -3 days before treatment. These products include Retinoids, Exfoliants and/or exfoliating devices, Salicylic washes and toners, products containing AHA and BHA’s, and Hydroquinone.
  3. Remove contact lenses and any eyelash extensions prior to treatment.
  4. DO NOT consume Alcohol or Coffee before coming in to your treatment.
  5. Please Avoid Injectables, Peels and Laser treatments prior to appointment .
  6. If you are having signs of cold or flu treatment should be rescheduled.
  7. If under Doctor’s supervision please get medical clearance.

Post Treatment Instructions:

Immediately Following Treatment (First 24-48 Hours)

  1. Continue your normal daily activities acknowledging you will have carbon crusting occurring on the
treatment areas causing a “social downtime.”
  2. Avoid exercise (especially sweating onto the area) for at least 3-4 days. Heat, sweat and/or steam can
add to the inflammation that is already present
  3. There may be mild to moderate swelling and inflammation, especially around the eyes, for 1-7 days.
  4. You may apply cold packs covered with a clean cloth (do not apply the cold packs directly to the skin) as
    needed.
  5. Avoid using any anti-inflammatories, over the counter or prescription strength since the inflammatory
response is a key part to the plasma pen treatment process.
  6. You may experience a stinging sensation that will feel like a sunburn which can last for a few hours to a
    few days.
  7. DO NOT cover the area with plastic, occlusive dressings or any type of makeup until the area is healed.
  8. Sleep on your back with your head elevated to help with the swelling and to avoid brushing your face
on the pillow for up to 7 days.
  9. Should you develop oozing or evidence of infection, notify the office IMMEDIATELY to be seen.

The Following Days Post Treatment (Days 3-7)

  1. It is normal for the area to feel tight and dry.
  2. If there is weeping or serous drainage, this will settle down.
  3. Carbon crusts will form and will flake off on their own. DO NOT exfoliate them as this will delay healing
    and can contribute to scarring.
  4. Continue to clean the area treatment twice a day, but DO NOT rub the skin hard. You can use luke
warm water only to help remove excess oil. Pat dry with a clean cloth.
  5. ALWAYS keep the skin hydrated and moist.
  6. DO NOT take a hot shower for 3-4 days since this could cause more swelling and prevent the carbon
crusts from forming naturally. Avoid shower gels and hair products as these can cause irritation and
inflammation. Rinse thoroughly if these products do contact your skin. Pat dry.
  7. Men should AVOID shaving until the area is fully healed.
  8. After treatment around the eyes, AVOID wearing contact lenses for 3-4 days.

The Next 3 Months (After the First 3-7 Days)

  1. When the carbon crusts have fallen off, your skin will be pink as it is fresh new and rejuvenated skin.
  2. Once crusts have fallen of, you may apply your usual skin care regimen including makeup, but avoid
using products containing glycolic or other exfoliating ingredients
  3. You MUST apply SPF of 30+ at least twice a day while your skin is pink as it is prone to
hyperpigmentation form overexposure during this critical time of healing.
  4. DO NOT use sun beds or saunas for 10-12 weeks post treatment.
  5. AVOID midday sun for 10 -12 weeks post treatment.
  6. AVOID other aesthetic procedures while your skin is healing to the treated areas.
  7. AVOID smoking and alcohol as they will inhibit adequate healing.
  8. Continue taking Vitamin C and/or collagen supplements daily.
  9. Understand it will take 12 weeks for the full effect of Plasma Pen to be seen.
  10. If you have any questions, DO NOT HESITATE to call the office at the number listed below.

Side Effects & Risks:

  1. Edema (swelling) of the skin may occur and can be minimized by keeping the area upright.
  2. Urticaria (itching) often times occurs as the old skin is shed and the new skin is being formed.
If any of the above symptoms intensify, your clinician should be notified.
  3. Discomfort, especially a sunburn feeling, may persist for a few days.
  4. PIH or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (browning) and hypopigmentation (lightening) have been noted with Plasma Pen procedures. These conditions usually resolve within 2-6 months. Permanent color change is a rare risk. Vigilant care must be taken to avoid sun exposure (tanning beds included) before and after the treatment to reduce the risk of color change. After the skin has gone through its healing phase and is intact, sunscreen and / or sun block should be applied when sun exposure is necessary.
  5. Infection is not usual after treatments; however, herpes simplex virus infections around the mouth can occur following treatments. This applies to both individuals with a past history of the virus or individuals with no known history. Other signs of an infection can be a fever, purulent (pus) material, severe redness, swelling in the area, and skin that is hot to the touch. Should these symptoms occur, the clinician must be notified to prescribe appropriate medical care.
  6. Allergic reaction is uncommon from treatment. Some persons may have a hive-like appearance in the treated area. Some persons have localized reactions to cosmetics or topical preparations.
  7. Systemic reactions are rare.

Additional Treatment or Surgery Necessary – There are many variable conditions which influence the long term result of Plasma Pen treatments. Even though risks and complications occur infrequently, the risks cited are the ones that are particularly associated with these procedures. Other complications and risks can occur but are even more uncommon. Should complications occur, procedures, surgery or other treatments may be necessary. The practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science. Although good results are expected, there is no guarantee or warranty expressed or implied on the results that may be obtained.
